The creator had the AI generate a wide variety of images. (Here, “creator” refers to the person who planned and produced this site and the works shown on it.) By providing the AI with short words—usually just one to three terms—the creator allowed the AI to “imagine” freely using its own knowledge and produce new works. The site’s title, “MWAIP,” stands for Minimal-Words AI Painting.
In November 2024, works from this series received prizes and were accepted at two juried exhibitions, Shin-Geijutsuten and Chūbiten. Between February and May 2025, additional works won awards or were accepted at seven further juried exhibitions, including Tōkaten and Genten.
Information about the sale of these images on this site and on Rakuten is summarized in press releases issued on PR TIMES in September 2023 and October 2024 (both in Japanese). The earlier release was also featured in a well-written summary on Forbes Japan under the title: “Exploring New Forms of Art through Generative AI: Dasyn Publishes 30,000 AI Works.” (in Japanese)
