“Ambiguous” Cityscapes Created by AI Art

Stable Diffusion 1.5 and OpenJourney sometimes depict “ambiguous” cityscapes. In other words, while the presence of roads and buildings can be discerned, they may appear blurry or indistinct. These are also paintings that painters rarely create, and I believe that this is one of the interesting aspects of AI art.

Most examples come from Stable Diffusion, and many of them can be considered night scenes. It is common for the roads to be in the center, so let’s look at some examples of such images.

There are also daytime landscapes.

The image in the top right corner appears to depict different scenes on the left and right sides. The right side resembles a road landscape, but the left side is unclear. Here are other examples:

While the landscapes so far have been peaceful, there are also images with a more tense atmosphere. However, it is unclear what they depict.

The following image has a significantly different atmosphere and may be more like a collage than a cityscape.
