A blog related to original AI artworks.
All of the paintings I had submitted to public exhibitions in the past had been accepted, but the three works I submitted to the Shunyo Exhibition were rejected. Among the many works created by AI, there are several that are good enough to almost certainly be accepted to public exhibitions. I believe the key lies in whether I can select them well—in other words, my discernment is being tested.
I submitted three pieces (or three sets of images) to the Shunyo Exhibition, two of which are the following:
I have a strong attachment to the image on the upper left. As for the one on the right, I selected it relatively quickly, so I am less confident about it. However, since both were printed in large format (100 cm in size), I am thinking of trying again with a different public exhibition.
The remaining piece was created by combining the following four images into a single work.
I thought it would be uninteresting to simply line them up, so I arranged them like this:
These images were inspired by Arcimboldo, and I wanted to test whether such a style would be accepted. The result was that at least for the Shunyo Exhibition, it was not. Perhaps the photo-like quality of the images was disliked, as many of the works submitted were hand-drawn.
According to the exhibition organizers, they will later inform me of the reasons why the works were rejected. Once I know the reasons, I plan to share them here.
