A blog related to original AI artworks. I make AI artworks using coined words and emoji as prompts.
Recently, I have found several pirated versions of AI artworks sold on this site. Some of them are being sold on Amazon. Additionally, pirated versions can also be found on scam websites such as Atelier Erina. Since there are many other scam websites, it is impossible to respond to each one individually, but because Amazon is a trusted platform, I decided to take action.
A Google search reveals that there are various suspected pirated versions. Many of them seem to pop up and disappear like moles, but on Amazon, pirated versions appear to have persisted for some time.
Believing that action was necessary on Amazon, I first requested measures against copyright infringement. However, since laws regarding AI art are not yet well-established, immediate actions such as the removal of pirated versions were not taken. Therefore, as an alternative approach, I posted a review stating, “This is a pirated version.” This review was published. In the review, I included information about the original product being sold on Rakuten along with its ID, so potential buyers should be able to easily find the corresponding product on Rakuten. The pirated version is not cheaper than the original, and since the high-resolution images sold on Rakuten are not available online, a perfect replica cannot be created. In a way, Amazon might actually be advertising the Rakuten product for me.
