ChatGPT Correctly Guessed “Hope” as the Theme of Some Images

I provided several images generated with the prompt “Kanabstracd Hope” to ChatGPT, asking it to guess the theme. For some of these images, it correctly identified “hope” as the theme. The following three images are examples:

I initially asked ChatGPT the following questions: “What influenced the style of this painting?” and “What do you think the theme of the image is?” Soon, it began including its guessed theme in the response to the first question, even without being asked the second question. I didn’t tell ChatGPT what the prompt was, of course.

In particular, for the third image, which is highly abstract, I was a bit surprised when it correctly guessed the theme as “hope” (among other possible themes it suggested). Here’s an excerpt from ChatGPT-4o’s initial response: “For this image (u0ceMn9e), since it lacks concrete forms or a clear subject, interpreting the theme depends largely on the viewer’s perception. However, the overall tone and use of colors may evoke themes like ‘inner exploration’ or ‘hope.’”
