A blog related to original AI artworks. I make AI artworks using coined words and emoji as prompts.
I wanted to draw an abstract cat picture using NightCafe. The impression of cats is too strong, so it is hard to get the image to be abstract enough.
AI art is often used to create “impossible” concrete paintings, but I would like to use it to create more abstract paintings. So, I tried various words to draw an abstract cat picture using NightCafe. The simplest is “abstract cat”. Here are some examples.
I feel that these are not sufficiently abstracted yet. So I tried to blur the word “cat” more. For example, I tried to see what would happen if I used French. In French, cats have masculine “chats” and feminine “chattes”. “Abstract chats” is sufficiently abstracted, but it almost feels like a cat.
On the other hand, “abstract chattes” makes it more concrete, but more like a human woman than a cat. Is it because “woman” is expressed in the feminine form?
So I mixed the masculine and feminine forms. In “abstract chattes chats”, a cat close to “abstract cat” was drawn.
To make it a little more blurry, I put in two words for cats and two abstracts. In French, even if you combine chattes and chats, it will make you look more feminine. It uses the Spanish “abstract gatas and abstract gatos”.
I’m almost satisfied with this drawing. You can draw a similar picture with words like “abstract cait and abstract katter”.
P.S.: Actually, a few days ago, the word “Mondrian cat” called NightCafe I had him draw a picture, and this one was the best of the ones I had him draw a cat with the artist’s name on it.
Incidentally, in the next picture, the cat is not abstracted, but I think this is also interesting.
